1. Install Metamask
In order to have a better user experience, connecting to SOFIL DApp with Metamask on your smart phone is highly recommended
Install on iPhone / Android
Download MetaMask
Visit https://metamask.io/ and click on “Download”. There are three browsers for installing the MetaMask extension. Choose the appropriate mobile application and install.
or Install MetaMask from App Store / Google Play.
Installation
Click on the MetaMask application and click on "Get Started" on the welcome screen
Next, you will see two options - either importing an existing wallet using secret recovery phrase or creating a new wallet. Select "Create a new wallet" .
Usage Statistics and Terms of Use
Choose whether you consent to some usage statistics be collected by the wallet developers or not. For example, we choose "No thanks".
Scroll down the terms of use, tick a checkbox and tap "Accept".
Create Password
Set a password that will be used to unlock the wallet and accept transactions. You can optionally enable unlocking with Face ID. Tick the password recovery warning checkbox and tap "Create password".
Securely store and protect the seed phrase
On the next two screens, select "Start" to backup your wallet keys.
Click on the "View" button to see the twelve generated secret words.
The seed phrase shown should be stored in a safe place, which is the only method to recover your digital assets when your device crashes or your browser is reset. The safe ways to be stored are writing the 12-word phrase on a piece of paper or storing it in a place that is highly safe. In case the seed phrase could not be found, even MetaMask can’t help recover the wallet and the digital assets.
It is recommended that you do not share your seed phrase or your private key to others, otherwise they can fully control over your funds.
Click on "Confirm" after you have stored the twelve secret words.
Seed phrase confirmation
MetaMask will check if you have saved the secret words. To confirm, you have to click on all of them in the same order as they were previously shown.
Click on "Complete Backup" if you have successfully entered all twelve secret words.
Informational Steps and Finish
Go through the next informational steps by tapping "Done", "Enable aytomatic security checks" and "No thanks".
After that, you should see the main wallet screen.
Congrats ! You have successfully setup your MetaMask and created a wallet.
